In 2025, we live in a world where dating apps have become the norm. Though they're the norm, that doesn't mean they're necessarily the most ideal option, as it's hard to figure out what your match's intentions are. That is till the Tinders Explore page came out.
Tinder is updating its Explore page with new categories to help you find dates with similar relationship goals. With the update, you can now browse profiles in groups such as “Serious Dater,” “Long-Term Partner,” “Non-Monogamy,” and “Short-Term Fun." You can only qualify for the Serious Dater category if you have a bio, upload at least four photos, and set your relationship goals to a long-term option.
With these new relationship-focused categories, it seems Tinder is trying to prevent dating app burnout by narrowing down potential matches. It’s also a way for Tinder to switch things up as more users turn away from dating apps in favor of in-person events.
Would this new Explore page be enough for you to recommit to dating apps?
