During the 2025 NFL Draft, Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, received a prank call from someone impersonating New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis. The caller falsely claimed Sanders would be drafted soon, only to say he had to "wait a little longer." The prank was later traced to Jax Ulbrich, son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who had obtained Sanders' number from an open iPad at his parents' home. Jax issued a public apology, calling his actions "inexcusable" and "childish," and the Falcons also apologized, stating Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the incident. The NFL is investigating, and the Falcons are reviewing their protocols. Despite the incident, Sanders, who was eventually drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round, downplayed the prank, labeling it as childish but not impactful.
