If you’ve been disappointed by a sparse bread basket while eating at Olive Garden, you aren’t alone. In a video posted to TikTok with over 5,000 views, TikToker Jen shows a picture of the bread basket from her recent trip to Olive Garden with her best friend. The basket holds three breadsticks.. In the viral video, the tik toker goes on to complain about why they would even bring out a basket if there was only going to be three breadsticks.
While Olive Garden‘s breadsticks aren’t complimentary, guests are offered unlimited breadsticks with the purchase of any entrée. The video ended up getting so much buzz that an Olive Garden employee even decided to chime in. The Olive Garden employee says, "I work there. The rule is one for each guest and 1 for the table. The reasoning is they are bottomless, and we don’t want them to go cold, hard, or bad. We actually have managers that watch." The worker suggested simply asking for extra breadsticks next time the bread-to-basket count isn't up to par!
