Move over boomers because "geriatric millennials" are the latest generational term that will definitely cause some anger for anyone born between 1980-1985!
An article referring to older millennials as “geriatric” has sparked a backlash among 30-somethings on social, who’ve deemed the label inaccurate after it was dropped in a Medium piece.
"Geriatric millennials" was used to refer to anyone born in the early 1980s, who are considered to be too old to really be a millennial, but are way younger than any Gen Xers. Other names for this mini-generation are "cuspers" or "xenials," but putting geriatric in front of the word makes it seem even older.
The article also mentioned that "geriatric millennials" are comfortable with both analog and digital forms of communication and were the first generation to grow up with technology like a PC in their homes.
However, the word "geriatric" just makes us think of old people who can't get out of bed! It's okay, we're all getting older!!
