Josh Duhamelâs returning to the big screen with directorial debut Buddy Games, but heâs a dad first and foremost. The actor Zoomed with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, November 24, and shared he plans on spending Thanksgiving bonding with his son, Axl, 7.
âNormally Iâd be back in North Dakota,â Josh shared with Seacrest of his Thanksgiving plans. âMy boy and I are just going to be here at the house. Iâm not going to cook. I would never put my son through that,â he jokingly added. âIâm not going to attempt a Thanksgiving dinner.â
Josh added that he was stuck in Mexico for the past month, which is the longest heâs gone without seeing his mini-me, whom he shares with ex Fergie.
âWeâre just going to have a good few days just he and I hanging out. He likes the Mandalorian now so I guess weâre going to watch that,â he added, referring to the hit Disney+ series.
You can also catch Buddy Games in select theaters this holiday weekend. The movie stems from Duhamelâs own childhood.
âThatâs part of the reason I wrote this movie is you really have to be imaginative when you grow up in North Dakota,â he added. âWe played sports, weâd make up games and it turned into this thing that we did for the last 20 years ⊠called buddy games. ⊠Itâs a weekend of games and debauchery and a reason for the guys to get together. ⊠Itâs about brotherhood and friendship.â
