A gas leak likely caused the explosion Monday afternoon that left six people hurt in a Plano neighborhood, according to local news sources.
Investigators with Plano Fire-Rescue determined an isolated gas leak inside the home as the probable cause of the explosion, which left the home in pile of debris.
One person was inside the home at the time of the explosion. They were pulled from the rubble and taken to a hospital.
Next door a family of five, three of them children, suffered injuries when they were hit with pieces of glass after their windows shattered during the explosion.
All five Jagielski family members are in the hospital, including the father, who had emergency surgery. Authorities told the family they're not allowed back in their home, so all they're left with is the clothes on their back.
