I'm no beauty guru; I sometimes fall asleep before I rinse off my makeup, I forget to moisturize, and I hardly ever exfoliate, but that doesn't mean I don't know a thing or two about a simple yet effective morning skincare routine. Here's mine:
- Cetaphil's daily facial cleanser (Target, $7): The foundation of every great skincare routine is a gentle, non-comedogenic and fragrance-free cleanser, and I've been using this one for years. I wash my face with this first.
- Acne.org's benzoyl peroxide (2.5%) treatment (Acne.org, $20): Even though I visited a dermatologist to help clear my hormonal acne, I still use this gel-based BP to treat pimples that pop up. I apply this after I wash my face.
- Neutrogena's Hydro Boost hyaluronic acid serum (Ulta, $27): Once the BP soaks in, I use this to smooth and hydrate my skin.
- CeraVe's facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30 (Target, $14): They key to great skin is a great moisturizer-- with SPF. I top off my skincare routine with this simple yet effective moisturizer.
If some of these products seem like a splurge, you'd be surprised how long they last.
