Kimani Custom Dolls is a local small business who specializes in personalized dolls and other unique homemade gifts.
Dionna Douglas, a dedicated and energetic dollmaker began her business in late 2015, because she felt there was a need for more diversity in dolls. She started with 30 custom dolls and by the end of 2015, she had completely sold out. Teaching herself how to sew, each doll was crafted by hand by Dionna.
She has commissioned dolls for several celebrities and influencers and has even had doll requests from as far as the UK. To date she has created hundreds of dolls! With no signs of slowing down, Dionna says Kimani's purpose is to celebrate ones uniqueness and individuality and although she does dolls of all races, she specializes in diversity, focusing on making dolls for people that may not have dolls that look like them.
