Skittles Loses The Rainbow To Celebrate Pride Month

In honor of Pride Month this year, Skittles is ditching its signature rainbow. Instead of those colorful candies the brand is known for, they’re going colorless to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.

By ditching their bright packaging and candies, Skittles is showing that “only one rainbow matters.” So you won’t be able to see the rainbow, but you’ll still be able to taste it, the original strawberry, orange, grape, green apple, and lemon flavors will still be in the bag.

This is the first time these gray candies are being sold in the U.S. and for each pack of colorless Skittles sold, they’ll donate $1 to LGBTQ+ advocacy group GLAAD up to $100-thousand. The Gray limited-edition “Pride Pack” bags of Skittles will be hitting CVS and Walmart stores now through the end of June.
