Lamar Jackson donate's $25,000 to local school

Childhood hunger isn't just something happening over seas. It's happening right in our own backyard. Former UofL quarterback Lamar Jackson saw a need in his community and decided to do something about it. Earlier last week, he wrote a check for $29,000 to charity that included a massive $25,000 donation to fund blessing in a backpack. A non-profit helping the fight in childhood hunger right here in Louisville.

In Jefferson County alone, Blessings in a Backpack feeds 4,300 hundred student annually and they say there's so many more children in need than they can currently help. Thanks to Jackson's donation, the kiddos at Engelhard Elementary school will be taken care of for the entire school year!
